Maudie Ann Wells went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 7, 2009, joining her husband James Nelson, the love of her life, and her son Michael, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her large and loving family, daughter Pamela Pierce and husband Jesse Pierce of Houston, Texas; daughter Rebecca Hudson and fiancé Terry Steiver of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter Jame Fowler and husband Eric Fowler of Austin, Texas; grandchildren Shannon Bowers and husband Dr. Daniel Bowers of Dallas, Texas; Juston Hudson and wife Dena Hudson of New Braunfels, Texas; Amber Sadler and husband Brandon Sadler of New Braunfels, Texas; Lace Puryear of Austin, Texas; and Houston Puryear of New York, New York; and great grandchildren Jordan, Avery, Ethan, Caleb, Wyatt, and Connor; and she was a very special "Mimi" to Sylvester and Johnny Pena of Houston. She is also survived by her sister Bobbie Parrish and brother Charles Mauldin, both of Arkansas.
Born December 25, 1926 in Arkansas, she lived most of her life in San Angelo and Buda, Texas before moving to Houston. Her last years were spent surrounded by her dear friends at the Terrace. She devoted the last years of her life to constant prayer for her family and friends, and studying the Bible.

Services were held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2009 at Bradshaw-Carter Funeral Home, 1734 West Alabama, Houston, Texas. On line tributes may be posted at www.bradshawcarter.com.
A graveside service was held at Varga Chapel Cemetery on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 2:00 P.M.
Don Woodruff, 72, of Grand Prairie, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, TX. He was born September 6,
1937 in San Angelo, TX, the son of Carl Judson Woodruff and Lola Whitley Woodruff. Don Woodruff and Linda Gay Rutherford were married on August 29,
1959 in San Saba. He worked as an Insurance Agent and was the former owner of San Saba Carwash. Don was a former member of the Lions Club, San Saba Volunteer Fire Department and San Saba Volunteer EMS. He was also a former Boyscout Leader and was a former member of the San Saba Golf Association.
Don is survived by his wife, Gay Woodruff of Grand Prairie; his daughters, Jill Lawson and her husband, John of Grand Prairie; Ginger Stafford and her husband, Brandon of Grand Prairie; his grandchildren, Austin Barclift, Macie Lawson, Judson Stafford; his brother, Bill Woodruff of Bend; and several nieces and nephews.
Don is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Delores Delano.
Services were held Friday, September 11, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of San Saba with Rev. Bill Skaar, Rev. Sam Crosby and Rev.
Jack Riley officiating. Interment followed at San Saba Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to donor's favorite charity.
